Dog-friendly Chocolate Recipe

There's no reason why our dog's need to miss out on the charm of chocolate. Here's my special recipe that can be enjoyed by our dogs all year long.

Makes 6 large or 18 small chocolates

1/4 cup (62.5 ml/ 2 fl oz) coconut oil, melted

1/2 cup (60g / 2oz) coconut flour

2 teaspoons carob powder

In a bowl, combine coconut oil, coconut flour and carob powder.

Pour the mixture into your dog’s favourite chocolate mould and place in freezer to set.

Store in a refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month.

Note: if coconult oil is new to your dog, start at a dailiy dose of 1/4 teaspoon and gradually increase. Research suggests feeding dogs 1 teaspoon per 4.5kg (10 lbs) of body weight, daily.
