EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS

For all that the divine dog has done for us, we wanted to give something back to them.

For this reason, we have decided to donate 10% of book and print sales to animal rescue and advocacy organisations.

We couldn't simply just choose one organisation as there are so many people doing great things things for our furry friends.

We are in the process of developing fundraising opportunities with animal rescue and advocacy groups to raise much needed funds for these organisations. Please contact us via the contact page if you would like further information regarding this inititiative.

Pupcake sales from the Pupckes Book Launch held on Sunday 20 March were donated to Oscar's Law. Oscar’s Law is a not-for-profit volunteer organisation, dedicated to abolishing puppy factories in Australia. Their mission is threefold: to abolish the factory farming of companion animals in Australia, to ban the sale of animals from pet shops and online trading sites, and promote adoption through rescue groups, pounds and shelters. More information

Sales for the month of April 2016 will be donated to The Friends of the Hound Greyhound Adoption Group. Their mission is to create public awareness of the Greyhound as a gentle, affectionate dog and excellent family pet and to rescue and re-home as many beautiful Greyhounds as possible. They advocate the ADOPTION NOT DESTRUCTION motto. More information

In 2016 and 2017, Pupcakes attended the RSPCA Million Paws Walk. 10% of sales from the event went to the RSPCA. The RSPCA’s mission is to prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection. To achieve this, the RSPCA works to enforce animal cruelty laws and prompt new legislation where required.

On Sunday 10 July, Pupcakes attended the Siberian Husky and Alaskan Malamute Rescue of Queensland (SHAMROQ). $20 of each book sold was donated to the organisation who are dedicated to the rescue, care, welfare and rehoming of Northern breeds, including, but not limited to, Alaskan Malamutes and Siberian Huskies, in the State of Queensland

Donation of sales made in 2017 were donated to Animals Rescue Qld Inc (ARQ). ARQ was started as a result of the flood affected animals in SEQ in January 2011. After founder, Mel Gillard, saw firsthand the devastation these floods had on not only people and their homes, but also their pets, it was clear that there was not enough being done in our local community to look after homeless animals. As a result ARQ was formed to assist with their inflated numbers of animals during the flood period. They were able to help these animals out of the overcrowded shelter environment and into loving and caring foster homes.
